Our Mission

Animal Care League is committed to providing shelter, medical care, and comfort to animals in need; reducing animal overpopulation; and acting as a community resource, thus promoting the human/animal bond.

Located in Oak Park, IL, Animal Care League is a no-kill animal shelter that holds stray animals for 9 villages. In addition to strays, we accept owner surrenders and transfers from other organizations whenever space allows. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been serving our community since 1973, and the majority of our funding comes from donor support.
